La fabrication additive ne faisant pas exception \u00e0 la r\u00e8gle, il est essentiel de comprendre comment fonctionnent les tol\u00e9rances dans <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d\/\">l\u2019impression 3D<\/a>, aussi bien pour les prototypes que pour les pi\u00e8ces fonctionnelles, afin de garantir la pr\u00e9cision de l\u2019ouvrage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-les-tolerances-en-impression-3d-c-est-quoi\"><strong>Les tol\u00e9rances en impression 3D, c\u2019est quoi ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quand on parle de tol\u00e9rances, on \u00e9voque g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement la diff\u00e9rence observ\u00e9e entre les dimensions th\u00e9oriques (mentionn\u00e9es sur un dessin technique ou un mod\u00e8le CAO) et les dimensions r\u00e9elles d\u2019une pi\u00e8ce suite \u00e0 sa fabrication. Une tol\u00e9rance en particulier constitue la d\u00e9viation maximale autoris\u00e9e pour une dimension donn\u00e9e. Tous ces mat\u00e9riaux diff\u00e8rent en termes de taux de contraction, lequel est une propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intrins\u00e8que pour un mat\u00e9riau donn\u00e9. Un principe bien connu en impression 3D, c\u2019est que les polym\u00e8res se contractent naturellement durant leur phase de refroidissement, au moment o\u00f9 ils se solidifient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De plus, quand la contraction se produit de fa\u00e7on non uniforme (en cas de changement brutal de temp\u00e9rature, par exemple), elle peut occasionner diff\u00e9rents d\u00e9fauts, comme des d\u00e9formations qui viendront alt\u00e9rer la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie de la pi\u00e8ce. Les mat\u00e9riaux r\u00e9agissent diff\u00e9remment aux param\u00e8tres d\u2019impression, de m\u00eame qu\u2019\u00e0 un refroidissement in\u00e9gal, ce qui complique la t\u00e2che consistant \u00e0 garantir la pr\u00e9cision g\u00e9om\u00e9trique de la pi\u00e8ce. L\u2019utilisation de plastiques de mauvaise qualit\u00e9 et d\u2019imprimantes mal calibr\u00e9es sont d\u2019autres facteurs pouvant expliquer l\u2019inexactitude des dimensions obtenues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-epaisseur-de-la-couche-de-matiere-deposee\"><strong>L\u2019\u00e9paisseur de la couche de mati\u00e8re d\u00e9pos\u00e9e<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aussi connue comme la \u00ab r\u00e9solution \u00bb, l\u2019\u00e9paisseur de couche a un impact direct sur la pr\u00e9cision dimensionnelle de la pi\u00e8ce le long de l\u2019axe Z, un impact qui se ressent surtout dans les proc\u00e9d\u00e9s <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-depot-de-fil-fondu-fdm\/\">FDM<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/polyjet-impression-3d\/\">Polyjet<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-stereolithographie-sla\/\">SLA<\/a>, o\u00f9 l\u2019on a des pi\u00e8ces dont la base adh\u00e8re \u00e0 une plateforme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les s\u00e9quences de chauffage suivies de temps de refroidissement sont responsables de d\u00e9formations. Il est fr\u00e9quent de faire en sorte que la couche de mat\u00e9riau initiale soit d\u00e9pos\u00e9e avec un taux d\u2019extrusion de plus de 100% afin d\u2019assurer l\u2019adh\u00e9rence de la pi\u00e8ce \u00e0 la plateforme. Cependant, cela d\u00e9bouche souvent sur une premi\u00e8re couche plus \u00e9paisse que les autres, avec la taille globale de la pi\u00e8ce qui diff\u00e9rera de l\u2019attendu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 noter \u00e9galement que les imprimantes grand public et bon march\u00e9 sont incapables de maintenir une \u00e9paisseur uniforme d\u2019une couche \u00e0 l\u2019autre, ce qui les emp\u00eache de tenir des dimensions un tant soit peu strictes. Dans le m\u00eame temps, la r\u00e9solution par d\u00e9faut de certaines technologies (comme le <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-frittage-selectif-par-laser-sls\/\">SLS<\/a> ou le <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-frittage-laser-direct-de-metal-dmls\/\">DMLS<\/a>), souvent configur\u00e9e \u00ab de s\u00e9rie \u00bb en sortie d\u2019usine, est d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 la plupart des applications. Cet effet est illustr\u00e9 dans l\u2019image ci-dessous, o\u00f9 l\u2019on peut effectivement voir les l\u00e9g\u00e8res d\u00e9viations induites par le proc\u00e9d\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-la-taille-minimale-des-elements-d-architecture\"><strong>La taille minimale des \u00e9l\u00e9ments d\u2019architecture<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans le cas de l\u2019impression <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-depot-de-fil-fondu-fdm\/\">FDM<\/a>, la taille minimale des \u00e9l\u00e9ments imprim\u00e9s d\u00e9pend avant tout du diam\u00e8tre de la buse d\u2019extrusion (pour tout ce qui concerne les axes X et Y) et de l\u2019\u00e9paisseur de couche (pour tout ce qui va le long de l\u2019axe Z). On peut r\u00e9sumer en disant que le diam\u00e8tre de la buse d\u2019extrusion affectera presqu\u2019exclusivement tout ce qui \u00e0 trait au plan horizontal (\u00e0 tout le moins, celui qui est parall\u00e8le \u00e0 la surface d\u2019impression).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 titre d\u2019exemple, une buse d\u2019un diam\u00e8tre plus r\u00e9duit sera capable de r\u00e9aliser un lettrage plus d\u00e9taill\u00e9 (en admettant que ce dernier soit situ\u00e9 sur la face sup\u00e9rieure de la pi\u00e8ce \u00e0 imprimer). \u00c0 l\u2019inverse, l\u2019\u00e9paisseur de couche affectera le niveau de d\u00e9tails suivant le plan vertical, ainsi que sur les parties obliques de l\u2019ouvrage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans le cas d\u2019autres technologies d\u2019impression 3D, comme le <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-multi-jet-fusion\/\">MJF<\/a>, le <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-frittage-selectif-par-laser-sls\/\">SLS<\/a>, le <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-frittage-laser-direct-de-metal-dmls\/\">DMLS<\/a> et la <a href=\"https:\/\/xometry.eu\/fr\/impression-3d-stereolithographie-sla\/\">SLA<\/a>, la taille minimale des \u00e9l\u00e9ments que l\u2019on peut r\u00e9aliser d\u00e9pend du mat\u00e9riau utilis\u00e9 ainsi que du diam\u00e8tre du faisceau laser. Les technologies bas\u00e9es sur l\u2019utilisation de poudres permettent de r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer la mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re usag\u00e9e en vue d\u2019une utilisation future. Toutefois, cela affecte la forme des grains qui deviennent de moins en moins sph\u00e9riques, et cette forme irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re peut affecter les dimensions de l\u2019ouvrage d\u2019une fa\u00e7on qu\u2019il est difficile d\u2019anticiper.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En d\u00e9finitive, il est important de noter que le diam\u00e8tre de la buse d\u2019extrusion et celui du faisceau laser sont tous deux des param\u00e8tres fixes (mais personnalisables). Il convient \u00e9galement de se rappeler de ce que nous avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 mentionn\u00e9 \u00e0 propos de l\u2019\u00e9paisseur de couche et de ce qu\u2019elle peut entra\u00eener en termes d&rsquo;inexactitude dimensionnelle.
